Pulwama, May 16 (KNO) : Two militants have been killed in an encounter that started during Pre dawn hours at Dalipora area Pulwama town on Thursday and fresh exchange of fire has started, official sources said An official said that a joint team of forces including army’s 55 RR and SOG Pulwama cordoned off Dalipora after having credible input about presence of some militants in the area. As the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon government forces triggering an encounter. A senior Police official confirmed that two militants have been killed in exchange of fire between militants and government forces. He said two dead bodies have been retrieved whose identification is being ascertained. A civilian namely Younis Ahmed Dar resident of Dalipora and three army men was also injured during exchange of fire. Official sources said that among three injured army men, one has succumbed. As per local sources heavy exchange of fire is going on.(KNO)
